Amy is the Program Officer and will book you in to the first available appointment. We operate the Clinic from the Wyong Central Community Health Centre (Level 1, 38a Pacific Highway, Wyong) . The aim of these clinics is to encourage women to participate in preventative screening programs for cervical and breast cancer by offering free pap tests and breast checks.

Why do preventative checks?

Research has shown that 80% of women who develop cervical cancer have not been screened – or have not had regular screening – for the disease. Participation in regular pap testing can reduce a woman’s risk of being diagnosed with cervical cancer by 96%. Aboriginal women are five times more likely to die of cervical cancer than non-Aboriginal women, largely due to recognised barriers in accessing primary health care. They also have a higher incidence of, and mortality rate from, breast cancer.
